Led a team of 8 developers creating a React application supporting consumer-facing Vistaprint products. Worked closely with internal Vistaprint development teams to check code in and out of cross-functional applications to piece together a brand new purchasing process for Vistaprint customers.
Worked closely with creative designers and client technical teams to envision a digital checkout system for Harley-Davidson customers. Executed a deep technical discovery to understand the systems Dealers use when guiding customers through the H-D purchase process. This process was then translated into a digital, consumer facing interface which allows customers to purchase a bike without having to go to the dealership.
ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINES
Worked alongside a team of designers to envision a Universal Profile experience for Royal Caribbean customers. Worked closely with client technical teams to understand the enterprise tech landscape and architect a ligh-weight, micro-service-based application to support the Universal Profile.
REGENT SEVEN SEAS (RSSC.COM) REDESIGN
Dan’s team re-imagined the digital presence for Regent Seven Seas, the premier luxury brand under Norwegian Cruise Lines. The customer base for Regent is traditionally 60+, so the need for digital marketing has been low until now. VML has been tasked with overhauling the business model, first with a website redesign, then on to every other aspect of their marketing spend.
In 2017, Dan’s team executed a full re-design, re-platform and content migration project for the United States Navy. The new website was built in Drupal and leverages Adobe Analytics to strategically track and identify future recruits.
In 2016, Dan’s team re-designed the homepage and other key areas of the FedEx website as part of a company-wide digital transformation project. Dan worked alongside FedEx marketing stakeholders and executives in a highly collaborative, SAFE Agile Adobe AEM implementation which required VML and FedEx to work as one cohesive team. Dan consulted with FedEx on all aspects of the Marketing Technology landscape, including Adobe Target, AEM, Audience manager and Analytics.
In 2015, VML was tasked with transforming the digital presence of xerox.com to focus more on services over printers. This major shift was achieved by redesigning and re-platforming the website in Drupal and leveraging Adobe Target to create a personalized experience based on audience segmentation.
WENDYS.COM & WENDY’S MOBILE ORDERING
In 2014 Dan’s team led the maintenance and enhancements of Wendy’s.com and also launched a mobile ordering pilot that leveraged beacons and iOS technologies to notify stores when users had entered the vicinity of the restaurant, so customers could receive a hot order when they pulled up to the drive through window.
In 2013, Dan’s team redesigned and re-platformed Eloqua.com in Adobe AEM (called CQ at the time) and implemented advanced use cases with Eloqua’s very own marketing automation platform.
